STRATEGIC INSIGHT AND GLOBAL CHANGE

2011 Comment: it would be easy to think the riots and looting that shocked the UK and the world were isolated incidents. They weren't and they aren't. They aren't isolated to the UK and importantly they aren't a thing of the past.

They WILL happen again - both in the UK and other locations that previously considered themselves safe, stable and secure.

The world is changing. The pace of change is increasing. The changes taking place will fundamentally change society, consumerism, business, politics and government. Some changes will be long, slow processes. Others will be short and dramatic - like the UK riots - that seem to "come out of the blue" and take everyone by surprise. People shouldn't be surprised.

You really need to understand how the near future is evolving - and what this means for business. What will the changes mean? Don't be surprised. Be prepared.

If you ARE concerned, please do take a look at the Alt3 Present Risk Capability.

Without a doubt the world is changing. The pace of change is increasing. How will this affect you? One thing you can be sure of is that it will affect you. If you think it won't or if you ignore the changes taking place, you have already lost the battle.

There are trends and developments that are and increasingly taking place that are and will shape our world. Visibility of these trends and developments are essential for valid strategic development. How can you have a strategy if you don't have a view of the future? The next 3-5 years will not be a series of linear developments. With rapidly evolving markets and suppliers, how do you know what will be available, valuable or wanted in the near future? It's like attempting to walk across a busy road with your eyes closed.

That's exactly what some organisations do - and with catastrophic results. We only have to look at the world around us to see the truth of this.

From experience Alt3 would strongly advise you to have a view of what's ahead. The good points and the bad points. You need to take advantage of the opportunities as well as find ways to negate the threats. This is information you need. This is strategy at its sharpest.

Business evolution needs to understand what it is evolving into if it is to have a sustainable future. As far as is possible, we will give you this visibility ... and you WILL be surprised. There is a substantial amount of change all around. Some we see, some we don't - all will impact on how countries interact - their economic viability and power standing, how we do business and how individual consumers behave. Failure to have visibility of these changes will mean invalid strategy and a blind movement into a changing future. It will mean running to stand still. It will mean loss of confidence and profitability. It will mean loss of market share.

In such an environment none of us can afford to make mistakes.

The world is full of examples of how things go wrong when decision makers ignore the fundamental changes taking place.

We are all wise with hindsight. We give you tomorrows hindsight ... today. Alt3 is currently investigating:

  • future economic changes

  • shifting globalisation

  • business and industry of the future

  • political changes for the new world developing

  • collaboration

  • opportunities and threats

  • demographic shift and the significant wave of migration about to be triggered

  • extremism - the dynamics and the impact

  • organised crime

  • cyber crime

  • pressures on resources

  • new innovations, new product development and the importance of general development

  • sustainable developments

  • technology change

  • the scale and scope of significant healthcare changes

- all affecting every country, every company, every consumer. The world is changing and it will be significant and fundamental change. We don't want to bore you with the intricate details but ... this really is information you need.

The future needs to be viewed holistically. None of us exist in isolation. A development in one area sends ripples of consequence into neighbouring areas and beyond. Your resources are finite. Make your investment count. Understand how the world is changing and will impact your activities. Achieve more for your money. This will be your advantage.

We can help you do this.

If you don't understand the risks, how can you prepare? Can you afford to let the issues be blurred?
