GLOBAL WARMING
There's something about human nature ... we all think we're safe, don't we? In our modern world where many people have a significant disregard for the forces of nature - and our ability to impact nature. The
world as we know it is a dynamic system. It doesn't stand still.
With the
inevitable increase in the greenhouse effect, the extremes of weather and
the extreme consequences of weather are predicted to cause increasing
damage, disruption and loss of life. This is climate change. It is inevitable. It will have far reaching consequences that will touch the lives of everyone. It isn't just someone else's problem. Let's be realistic. Considering the extensive misinformation and the obvious economic hold of fossil fuel availability, in the short term mankind is unlikely to fully reverse the trend towards a worsening climatic change. When disaster strikes, it will be too late to prepare for the unthinkable. There's something about human nature ... we all think we're safe, don't we? How will this affect you? What will be the world wide effects of "global dimming"? Will disaster be compounded by knee-jerk reactions? Will it be characterised by short term political sound bites backed by dubious information? The most dramatic disasters seem to be those that previously no one would have believed possible - and yet the disasters happened and everyone lamented over the lack of effective planning. This wasn't a matter of cost. It was a matter of foresight ... and the significant disregard for the forces of nature. Now is
your opportunity to have this foresight and begin preparing for the
unthinkable. Prepare for the climatic change induced natural disasters. The consequences of the increasing greenhouse effect are already being felt. Don't think it will be someone else's problem either in space or in time. None of us are as safe as we think we are. Preparations can take a long time. There is much you can start doing now. Do not leave the future to random chance. It is no longer someone else's problem.
